Hello-
I moved into a home and the automatic garage door opened normally for about a year. Then one day, I closed it and it came all the way down and then went right back down. After a few more attempts to close it I discovered it was attempting to close farther than normal and the safety mechanism cause it to return to the open position. I trouble shot and discovered the screw like adjustments on the side of the opener motor. This fixed my issue for the moment. Over the next week or so I noticed that my door wasn't closing all the way and would leave about a one inch gap at the bottom. I made another adjustment and it was another temporary fix. What do I need to do for a permanant fix or is this a warning sign that my opener is failing? Thanks for suggestions.
