I have a Marantec M4500e (which I love!) and I'd like to link it to my Insteon home control system. I have an Insteon module that can activate the opener. What I'm missing is a way for it to sense whether the door is open or closed, other than buying a separate sensor. The Insteon module has a connection for a state sensor.

Is there any way to pull a status signal from the m4500e that I could feed into my Insteon unit?

    Gary,

Where you able to do this?  I too have a 4500e and would like to connect it to my Insteon home control.  If you use an IO Linc, what did you set as the momentary time?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

No, didn't find a way. I ended up installing an expensive open/close sensors and connecting to an Insteon 2450 low-voltage control module I had laying around. Insteon 74551 kit looks like the same thing. Works fine.

Thanks for getting back to me Gary.

Did you have to adjust the "momentary time" for the 2450?  I know the default is 2 seconds but I am guessing that is sort of long.  I know you can reduce that through the smartphone hub interface.
