Hi all,
I have a 16” garage door with a 2” stabilizer bar at the top of the top panel. I recently purchased a 1987 VW Westfalia camper van that I would like to park in the garage, but the stabilizer bar is about an inch too long – when I pull the van into the garage, the van would hit it.
Wondering if there is such a thing as a 1” stabilizer bar or some alternative I could MacGuyver together to accomplish the same reinforcement benefit as a traditional stabilizer bar. Looked into 1/4" x 1 1/2" 6061 aluminum bar, but it’s only available in 144” length.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
