Advice On Moving a Center Bracket Empty Advice On Moving a Center Bracket

Post  centerbracket Fri Sep 19, 2014 12:49 am

    Hi All,

I just moved into a new house rental and there is a problem with the garage door. I believe that everything about the garage door is working fine, except for the placement of the center bracket holding up the torsion spring:

Whoever installed the garage placed the center bracket too far forward. If you try to open up the garage, it hits the bottom of the bracket. I really want to move the bracket back about half an inch...any suggestions on how to do this safely?

    Thanks!

You don't show a pic of the top roller fixtures but if you can you should try moving the fixtures higher up on the top section. The higher the fixtures are the quicker the top section is going to make the turn and may just miss the center bracket.
