Linear Garage Door Keychain Remote Empty Linear Garage Door Keychain Remote

    Post  minzunza1 Fri Sep 11, 2015 1:09 pm

Hi, I have a linear garage door opener which I've been operating using a linear remote which doesn't have dip switches. I bought the smallest possible keychain remote hoping to replace the bigger one. When I realized the existing remote didn't have dip switches I tried to set up the keychain remote by just pressing the learn button on the linear opener. The keychain remote seemed to register with the opener (the lightl lights up on the opener when I press the button on the keychain remote) but it doesn't actually open/close the door. Anything I can do to make it work?
    Thank you.

Linear makes many different remotes with different frequencies and they aren't all compatible. The remotes could be 318MHz, 310MHz or 300MHz frequency. Look on the back of the original remote that came with the operator and you should see the frequency printed on it. If it's a Linear remote and you want another remote then you'll need to get a Linear remote with the same frequency.
