    What are these chains for?

Post  Rosarius on Sun Nov 04, 2018 12:29 pm

I moved into a house with an electric remote-controleld garage door opener by a now-defunct UK company. It works fine, except as recently when the power to the garage was down.

I thought it odd that there was no manual override.

There are two chains (or one chain with two ends) with red and green handles hanging down from some kind of axle/fulcrum. Can anyone shed any light on what they are? Pulling either, simple moves that fulcrum a small amount and raises the other handle 4-6 inches.

    Any help appreciated. -R
