This may be a dumb question, but...
My garage door opener is 25 years old and no longer running like new.
I have several buttons around the garage to close the door, the wiring is doorbell-style - just short the two wires together and the door opens or closes.
All the new openers that I have looked at use complex wiring for the wall button, and would require replacing the various wall buttons.
Are there any new openers that work with doorbell-style wiring? What is the advantage of switching to the complex wall buttons?
thank you
Ben
