This is a real novice question, so I apologize in advance.
We have a relatively new home with two overhead doors. Both make a ton of noise when operating; popping and groaning.
Shortly after we moved in I called the company and asked them to check them out which they did. They made some adjustments but I wasn't here so I'm not sure what they did. However, it is still making terrible sounds and it just doesn't look right to me.
I decided to try to diagnose it myself and noticed that the right hand track was out of plumb by probably an inch. It looks like they just got lazy when the were chipping away the stem wall to install it and didn't bother making it plumb.
So my question is: should the tracks in fact be plumb? It seems like common sense to me, but not being a garage-door guru I wanted to ask before I adjusted them.
Thanks in advance!
