I have searched high and low for a Allister ARD motor control board with no luck new or used. I saw where Alibaba carries a number of (cheap) universal garage door control boards, is it possible to take one of these (I know, cheap) boards and use it in place of my missing board for my Allister opener. Yes my opener does work when you press the button on the wall. I do not have a remote control for it and motor control board to program the code for a remote is missing. Basically I want to use a remote for this old in great condition garage door opener.

If the wall button works and you need a remote then you may want to consider installing a new external radio receiver & remote like the Linear MegaCode Radio Receiver Set
