I have a Raynor Model 1265RGD garage door opener installed in 2000. The lights do not always stay on whey the opener is activated. The solenoid clicks each time the light switch is pressed but the lights do not come on. The problem is intermittent. Sometimes the lights come on and sometimes they just flash. Mostly they just don"t come on. I assume that the solenoid is defective and that means the circuit board would have to be replaced and that a better idea is to just replace the opener.

That opener has lights on the front & back? Do both lights act up? First thing I'd check are the wires from the socket contacts to the logic board and make sure they haven't come loose.

If you can't find the problem & you think it may be the logic board then you're looking at $70 -80 for a new logic board. A new (decent) operator would be around $200 - 275 (not installed).
