The chain gear on top of the opener sheered off. I purchased a replacement, took the opener apart, replaced the gear, and re-installed the opener and chain. Prior to placing the chain on the opener I ensured everything was working properly (gear turning).
After attaching the chain I used the button to open the door, which only opened approximately 8”-10” and stopped as if something crossed the sensors. It attempted to go down but again it stopped. The garage door will not move from where it sits now. Any suggestions on what went wrong? Sensors are lit and functioning properly.
