    Hello all,

    We have a very old garage door opener with chain drive that just went out yesterday.  I need a new replacement for the motor.  Can someone here or Pros provide me some insight and suggestions on which one to get?

    1.  Brand/model?-  Read some review.  Liftmaster makes Chamberlain.  Genie makes cheap and poor quality material.  Never heard and know anything about Ryobi, Atom and others.  Any website or forum to go for review is open too.

    2. what brand/model is reliable over other brands?

    3. Wifi or smart app notification is good without monthly subscription.  Something simple is fine.  Would like this to get notification if the garage door is left open.

    4. easy self installation.

    5. I see most professional install liftmaster and not the other brands?  Why?
