I have a commercial garage door in my back yard since I live in the city. It's a steel roll up door. It sits in the sun all day long and apparently theirs a thermostat by the motor that shuts it down so it doesn't overheat. Any suggestions on how I may be able to keep my door working on those hot sunny days? It works fine when it cools off outside.

It sounds like you have a rolling steel type door. How old is the door? It sounds like there is a broken spring in the barrel causing the thermal overload to kick in, which can be quite a tough job. Send more info/pics of the door and we can definitely get it figured out.

In this situation, it would be best to take help of professional garage door company to resolve the heating problems with your garage doors.

If the door works fine sometimes and not so good other times i doubt that you have a broken springs. You may need service to your operator or it may need to be replaced.
