wood door bottom seal replacement question Empty wood door bottom seal replacement question

I want to replace the old useless weatherseals at the bottom of my wooden garage doors. I am leaning towards using a nail-on rubber strip, the kind with a short flap-edge, then a flat middle section for nailing, and then a longer flap-edge. Problem: I have seen two different youtube videos from professionals; one says the long flap should be on the inside of the garage door, and one says the long flap should be on the outside of the garage door! Which is correct? Thanks!

Put it on the outside. I believe it's there to run water running down your door away from the door.
