We need to replace the door opener in our shop.  The door is 9' high x 11' wide.  We had a Liftmaster wall mount that has been nothing but trouble from the day it was installed.  Now it has quit working completetly.  My question is what would the readers suggest we replace it with?  How much hp would it take to lift this door.  It is an insulated door.  Any suggestions?  Also which is best belt or chain drive?  I know everyone will have their own opinions but am looking for opinions.  Thanks.

We sell quite a few LiftMaster openers in the Houston, TX area, and they are usually very reliable. Do you know what model you have? It's possible you need a heavier duty model, or it could be improper installation causing excess stress on the unit.
