    Hi, this is my first post and I’m pleased I’ve discovered such a forum as its looks very interesting after reading a few of the threads.  I’m wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I have with my garage door.



    I currently have a Gliderol roller door with a Gliderol GRD+ motor fitted.  The motor worked fine when it was first installed.  However, for some reason the door stopped responding correctly when I used the remote.  I decided to unpair the remote and reset the motor and start again.  I tried programming the remote with the controls on the door motor panel exactly as the manual advises.  No matter what I try I can’t seem to get this to work correctly anymore.  One button on the remote opens the door but the door keeps stopping mid travel even when I keep my finger on the button.  The same happens when I use the close button.

     

    Is anyone aware of an inherent fault with Gliderol motors/remotes that may be causing the issue I have?  Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    Most likely something is stuck in the mechanism, maybe it is jammed or there is simply not enough pres power to lift it, it is worth contacting a service center.

    Thanks....I've checked and there's nothing stuck in the motor.  Other than Gliderol themselves (who want a couple of my limbs to even look at the door issue) there are no other local companies that I can find that could help, they all seem to scratch their heads when I discuss this issue over the phone.
