Allister remote DIP switches Empty Allister remote DIP switches

    Post  David G Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:43 pm

We have an older 2-door system (in the house when we bought it in '96) with "Allister ARD IIA" on the side. The remotes have been acting up, so I ordered one that was said to be compatible with his model. However, there are 9 DIP switches in the new remote and 8 in the old ones. Is there a way to use this (e.g. tried ignoring 1st switch or last), or is this the wrong device?
    thanks!
