Hello everyone,
I’m in the market to replace our existing uninsulated garage door and would appreciate some feedback from others. I’ve got two doors and openers for comparison. Which is the better door? I live in Indiana so we have all four seasons
Genie opener 4124 opener
2” steel/polyurethene/steel back 27 gauge door with a R-9.25 insulation value.
Or
Liftmaster 84505R opener
1 3/8 steel/polyurethane/steel back 25 gauge door with a R-12.12 insulation value.
Will the 1 3/8 with the spray polyurethane hold up over time just as well as the 2 inch door? Which door would you guys go with? Price wise they’re within $200 of each other.
Thanks.
