I have a mod 170-8 with board # 6080127-8. After Hurricane Sandy it stopped working. The infrareds were under water so I'll assume they have to be replaced. The logic board has 2 ceramic resistors. THe one located nearest the 6 pin plug is burt out. I can't tell the value of it. Also would like to know if I can temporarily use the opener without the Safeties until I find new ones.

I don't have the schematics for the R170 logic board but you can buy a new logic board and safety sensors at www.GarageDoorZone.com

The opener will work w/o the sensors but you'll need to use constant pressure on the wall button to close the door (this overrides the safety feature). You can open the door w/ the remote but can't close it with the remote.
