Strange Issue with Liftmaster Remote

Liftmaster remote did not open door one evening (6 p.m.) and changed battery.  Worked fine immediately after installation of battery.

Remote then worked fine next morning and at noon to open and close door.  Upon return home at 6 p.m. again, remote would not open door.  After opening door with wall opener, remote then worked fine later that evening and next morning and at noon until 6 p.m. in evening. This same pattern has continued for about three days.  

What the heck is going on?

If sounds like something is causing interference - maybe something on a timer? Do you have fluorescent lights in your garage? Or do you use CFL energy efficient lights anywhere around your garage? A broken ballast in a fluorescent light fixture or CFL bulb can cause interference with garage door operator radio receivers. 

If you live near any military bases that could also cause interference since they started using some frequencies that were used by garage door companies.
