Garage door won't close Empty Garage door won't close

I replaced the trolley and carriage because it was not closing and we separated it so we could manually close the door. My wife forgot and snapped the bracket on the trolly so we replaced it all.

Now we are having the issue in the video,  it worked for like 2 weeks then started doing this. It won't let me post the video.

It bends the medal bar that runs from the garage door opener to the wall and stops closing at that point.

    Hello,
It sounds like you’ve encountered a frustrating issue with your garage door mechanism after replacing the trolley and carriage. If the metal bar is bending and causing the door to stop closing, this could indicate a problem with the alignment or balance of the door, or excessive force being applied by the opener.
    Here's what I recommend:
    1. Check the Balance: Disconnect the opener by pulling the release handle (usually a red cord), and manually move the door halfway up to see if it stays there without your help. If it falls or slams up, the springs might need adjustment.
    2. Inspect the Rails and Alignment: Make sure the tracks on either side of the door are perfectly aligned and haven’t been bent from the strain. Misalignment can cause extra stress on various components, including the opener.
    3. Adjust the Opener Settings: Sometimes, the force settings on the opener might be too high, causing it to push or pull too aggressively. Refer to your opener’s manual on how to adjust these settings correctly.

If you’re not comfortable performing these checks or if adjustments don’t resolve the issue, it might be best to consult a professional. At ProGuard Garage Door, we specialize in diagnosing and fixing complex garage door repair issues efficiently. We would be happy to take a look and ensure that your garage door operates smoothly and safely.
