This is for my aunt. She has a Overhead Door Legacy 496cd model. Her remote battery expired so she changed it. Now we can't program it to the opener anymore.
Have tried the user manual steps (press and release program button on the opener so it flashes, press and release remote and it goes solid, then press and release once more) but no dice. The program button does put it into blinking mode, and the remote battery is working (light on remote goes on when you press it), however there is no response on the opener. It just blinks until it times out. She has previously replaced the battery (2 or 3 times over the years) with no problem programming the remote again. Not this time.
Any suggestions?
