Recently my garage door opener started making a weird sound. After a few days the capacitor went out. I purchased a new capacitor and replaced it only to have the new one go out after about 1 week.
Overhead door
1/2 HP
model # 696CD/B
At some point after the original capacitor started acting up , I might have turned up the open force on the door to see if that would help.
Could this have been the reason why the new one failed?
I purchased a capacitor with the same specks as my old one.
Any thoughts on this issue?
Thanks
