I have a old Raynor chain unit (model: 130-7) that started smoking. i am looking to replace it. I am hoping to find a new opener that:
    1) can match the bolt pattern on the T-Beam so I can just plop it up there. (bolts are 4 inch apart. see picture)
    2) if possible, can operate without safety sensors because i dont want to run the wiring.

    I'd appreciate any help

Perhaps you've already found a suitable replacement. If not, the first thing that comes to mind is your capacitor is what's smoking, years ago mine started to smoke before blowing its top and spewing black tar everywhere. May be an easy fix for you as I'm sure you can get a replacement capacitor as compared to many other older Raynor parts. As for the safety sensors, in the early 90's the feds mandated a system to reverse the door if an obstruction was detected, they are a critical component, meant to prevent injury, death, or property damage. I strongly suggest you take the time to install the sensors appropriately. Good luck.
