some back ground: California in 2019 enacted a law that requires garage doors to be upgraded to include battery back up devices
problem: i have a newish lift master motor about 3 years old, that does not have the capability to have a battery back up and instead of forking out 800$ to replace it, id like to find an inline ac battery backup that will convert ac power to dc to stor and then convert it back to ac power to the motor. im wondering if this exists in some form. looking for out of the box solutions that still fit within california code.
