I have 2 single garage doors with a single garage door opener.  To allow the garage door opener to open both, single garage doors I have a U bracket that screws into the frames of the 2 single garage doors.  The screws have pulled out on one of the 2 garage doors.  I've been able to make a few new holes and add in a few new screws but this only worked for a few more months before those new screws pulled out.  I've read a little bit and it seems like this type design sucks (single opener for 2 single doors).  I was hoping I could just replace the portion of the frame that has had screws pulled out of it but that portion of the frame is riveted into the garage door so I can't replace it without replacing the entire door.  I'm wondering at this point what the best path forward is.  I think I have at least 2 options.

    1) I could replace the 1 door that has begun failing and would probably work for some amount of time before the other door begins to fail.

    2) buy 2 new garage door openers and put each garage door on its own opener to better distribute the stress on the garage door that's failing.

There may be other options as well but wanted to get some thoughts before pursuing something.
