We had a brand new garage built in 2015. Recently, the garage door arm/bracket ripped entirely off of the door and ended up cracking the entire panel. Upon further investigation - wondering how this could have possibly happened- we realized that the garage door opener bracket was installed upside down -- and that no horizontal bracket was installed, as specified in the owners manual.
Does this kind of damage seem likely given the installation errors that were made?
The company who installed this is saying this is normal wear and tear. But it most definitely is not!!
