    Hello, 

    I have an issue with my garage door. It is a 7ft x 16ft door with a torsion spring setup. Recently I installed a liftmaster 8500 jackshaft opener and found flaws in the door that didnt present themselves before. My issue is; The door appears to be pulling to the left when opening and not staying centered in the tracks. This is causing the left lift cable to rub on the track and the door to slightly bind about halfway through opening. It seems fine when closing. Ive gone through some of the basics, and cant seem to find a solution. Any advice would be great!..

    It sounds like your door is out of level. You'll need to adjust one of the cable drums so both cables are pulling the same. You can find demonstrations and instructions by using the search term "leveling your garage door" on Google. Good luck and be careful. santa

    Garage door pulls to one side. Empty you need to make sure that the tension on the cables is even

    the door needs to be balanced , the only option when you install jackshaft is to make sure that the cables are even balanced.
    in this case could be that you will have in the nearest future garage garage door off tracks. 
    that is very important to make sure that the the garage door will not have garage door broken cables
