Faux carriage door look for 5 panel door

I have a odd number, 5 panel wide door. I want to add the faux carriage door look. How strange would it be to Offset the center, to maybe 3 panels from the left and 2 to the right or the other way i.e 2 panels to the left. THANKS!

If you're just putting the carriage house hinges on then I think it would be okay. But if you plan on putting a handle in the center it will probably look off. I suggest that you get the magnetic hinges & handles. That way you can put them in different places and see how they look. They're pretty cheap and you won't be drilling any holes in the door. If you like what you see then buy the better steel or aluminum hinges and fasten them to the door. And if you don't like the look then just remove the magnetic hinges and you're only out a few bucks and your door isn't full of holes.
