I am replacing a garage door that originally had the track resting on the ceiling with the engine installed with just an inch to spare. How can I lower the track and opener so it is easier to repair. I’d it possible to install track below center torque springs as that is the only option for a lower track.Low headroom replacement 50cc4310Low headroom replacement 50cc4310

You can not install opener rail below your springs. You simply don’t have enough headroom for that door & motor. Messing with tracks is a huge waste of time. Simply take the pin out of your header bracket, holding the motor rail to the wall, let the motors rail rest on the springs. Then get a ladder, go to the powerhead & take your wires out of the powerhead, remembering(marking or take a picture) where they go. Then just unbolt the powerhead from the pinched angle(or whatever is holding it to the ceiling) and bring your motor to the garage floor to work on.
