Door is acting up. How do I fix?

I'm having a similar problem. to a certain extent it's acting almost like a loose connection that gets jarred by the excessive 'jiggling' while door is moving. Not the issue in my case.
Have you tried disconnecting the door to check performance without load?
In my case hitting the side of the unit mostly gets it to work very briefly.

The top section looks like it's hitting the opener rail. The opener senses this and reverses. Try adjusting the length of the opener arm.

Now it just moves a few inches either way.

Just tried it and it worked perfect. I don't know what the issue is.

Since nobody knows how to find it and the manufacture was not any help will scrap it and go with a different manufacture.
