Please Help with programming remotes/Homelink systems.
Just moved into a house recently with a 2 car garage, 2 doors. Each with a Linear LDCO800 opener. Also came with 2 MTR3 remotes which both worked.
All started when one of these remotes seemed to stop working, so I changed the battery. Now it won't work at all for any buttons on either opener. One remote still works fine.
I also tried to program Homelink in 2008 Toyota 4Runner, but cannot get it to program on any button to either opener. However programming my 2016 Nissan GTR's Homelink went smoothly for both doors.
Then I read that my my 4runner's Homelink maybe too old and that I should get Chamberlain Compatibility kit, which I did and I can't even get the remote that came with it to program.
Then I figured screw the compatibility kit, I'll just get 2 more remotes and I should be good. So I bought 2 remotes, Genie clones from Amazon. I got those and I can't program either remote on either of the 2 openers.
I'm sure it's not me, because I have watched videos and read up on the programming remotes and it seems really easy. But every time I try to program anything when opener is in "Learn" mode, it never makes the one click or blink once showing you it accepted a code. The openers just keep timing out.
I have tried short clicks and holding down the buttons on the remotes during programming and nothing.
So basically now I only have one MTR3 remote working. 4 other remotes not working, plus compatibility kit and homelink not working. I am anticipating at this rate that if I ever have to change the battery on the only working remote, it will stop working also.
Very frustrating.
Please help!
Thanks in advance.
