My springs broke so paid the guys to come replace. He noticed my old opener was going to break soon and the part was over$200. Told me to just buy a new one for 150 and swap just the opener part and save some money.
Did that and thought things went pretty smooth, I noticed the chain was hanging too much so was tightening it and it stopped letting me tighten, upon closer look I noticed the screw is now bent to crap and not sure how/why... The chain is also crooked?!?  See picture below thanks for any help... The good news is I have a new chain and everything else IF needed.
